today at the beach, we encountered many Man-O-War Jellyfish. It was really something. It was very beautiful and very sad at the same time, because the fact that we could see these creatures up close meant that they were doomed. I tried to carry one back out to see, but something stung me!
Oh, I kid, I kid. I make a joke. I carried it in a bucket as I am well aware that jellyfish sting. That is, some jellyfish sting. The ones I stick to my chest do not. And it's not as if the ones that do sting do it on purpose. But coming back to what I was saying, I couldn't take it far enough out to sea to ensure its safety. At least I tried! I am noble.
Animal Fact of the Day: The Blue Whale, generally considered to be the largest living animal, has such large blood vessels that a full-sized trout could easily swim through its veins and arteries.
