a first few

our parents just left this morning for tennessee -- we had the most lovely visit! however, it turns out they must've taken most of the pictures, 'cause i don't have all that many. so, i will wait to get a few from them. for now, here is a picture of a cut-throat table-soccer competition, and a trick jon played on us ("hold on, i can't quite get it to take the picture...") !

What a cool fountain thing! I'm surprised there aren't more people running around in swimsuits in it!

on thursday nights, they have this party downtown right by the fountain -- a band plays, and there's food for sale, and little booths of clothes and jewelry and things, and everyone shows up to promenade with their dogs. ;) so on that night it's packed! most of the kids go in their clothes, or strip down to their boxers, it's really cute. :)

How festive! What a cool thing to have every week.

I wish there was stuff like that in our town!

i was just thinking how cool it would be if they had a fountain like that up north, where we're moving -- can you imagine how it would look in the winter? like how that fountain near menards used to freeze and be a big upside-down icycle? especially if it could somehow freeze when they're shooting like 20 feet in the air, that would be spectacular spectacular!

we went to clematis last night --- our last thursday night here! alas! it was really nice. the event itself had been rained out (even though it had let up to a misting by the time we got there) but it was still fun. i love how the trees are lit up, and the colored lights under the fountain... we got 1 slice of pizza from pizza girls and 1 slice from...i dont remember their name. and then a piece of tiramisu!!!!!! yum yum yum!!!!!! we walked around a while too, went to the intercoastal and walked on the marina, looking at the boats. it was really nice. makes me a little wistful. :)
