One of my little girls turned in her response. I glanced through it and noticed my name! This of course made me curious so I grabbed it out of the pile. This is what I read:
"I think that kids can make a difference because we are kids and Mrs. Goodman teaches us to make a difference."
I was floored! I was choked up! Here before me was this wonderful moment of why people go into teaching. So then I read on. It continued... "She teaches us to make a difference and similarities too. So that's why I think that kids can tell differences and similarities, with a little help they can make a difference a little bit well."So then of course I started laughing -- my great accomplishment as a teacher was helping Miriam be able to tell differences and similarities when making comparisons (at least a little bit well.) Sometimes they just kill me!!! ;-D
(Here is her original, in all caps and purple, just like she turned it in to me.)
