How do you catch a mapache without a trap or a dog?

It is too gruesome to say. So instead, I will tell you how you catch a monkey with no trap or no dog. You cut a hole in the top of a coconut and then put something shiney inside it. The monkey will grab the shiney thing and, with its fist too big to pull its hand out of the hole, will remain stuck in the coconut (which, presumably, you have tethered to something.) No matter what, the monkey will not let go of its shiney prize, even when the grim reaper draws near. Fortunately, my Lucas faced no such threat when caught in his toy box -- which is good because believe me you, he wasn't letting go easy.
